UCHealth, a renowned nonprofit Colorado-based health care provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse for our Medical Surgical ICU during night shifts. As a leader at UCHealth, you will be pivotal in upholding our commitment to provide exceptional patient-centered care in a highly collaborative and supportive environment. This position specifically involves overseeing the night team in our state-of-the-art ICU, managing patient care, and ensuring that all procedures align with our medical standards and regulations. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and medically complex patients. Coordinate and supervise the nursing team during night shifts to ensure compliance with safety and health standards. Monitor and manage patient care to optimize outcomes in the ICU setting. Uphold all hospital protocols, and procedures, managing any immediate issues as they arise. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Engage in continuous education and training of staff to ensure high-quality care provision. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that affect the unit and patient care. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Expertise in critical care nursing practices and principles Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred
