Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered
Nurse (RN) for our Surgical Progressive Care Unit at our
state-of-the-art facility in Colorado. As a key member of our
nursing team, you will provide top-tier care to patients recovering
from surgical procedures in a progressive care environment. This
role requires a compassionate professional who can deliver
comprehensive nursing care while effectively managing complex
patient situations in a dynamic setting. The ideal candidate will
have a proven track record of excellence in patient care and a
passion for advancing their nursing skills within a supportive and
innovative healthcare system. Provide direct and individualized
nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific
nursing principles. Monitor patient health conditions post-surgery
and respond efficiently to complications. Administer medications
and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to
established standards. Collaborate with the surgical team to plan
and implement comprehensive postoperative care plans. Educate
patients and their families on recovery processes, health
maintenance, and preventive measures. Maintain complete and
accurate patient records. Participate in continuous training and
professional development opportunities to keep up with medical and
technological advances. Strong clinical skills in a surgical or
progressive care setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced
environment. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR)
systems. High competence in observing and responding quickly to
changes in patient conditions. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of Colorado. BLS/CPR certification from the
American Heart Association or Red Cross is required. ACLS
certification preferred.
