Job Description Job Description Work Experience: 1-3 years One year coding experience OR previous working with trauma registry databases and handling medical information in a health care setting. Required Licenses: • CSTR-Certified Specialist Trauma Registries - ATS - American Trauma Society or • AIS-Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale - AAAM - Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Possess good computer keyboarding skills. • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. • Knowledge of organizational structure, work flow, and operating procedures. • Microsoft Office products. • Ability to read and interpret clinical data from a medical record. • Familiarity with ICD 10 Diagnosis and procedure coding preferred. • Familiarity with Abbreviated Injury Scale/ Injury Severity Scores (AIS/ISS) preferred. • Experience with computer databases preferred.
