Job Description:
***$2,500.00 Sign-On Bonus***Happy Tails Veterinary Center has
been serving the Aurora, Colorado, community since 2012. We are a
full-service animal hospital and offer our patients gold standard,
AAHA accredited care. We are currently a three-doctor practice,
with a collaborative doctor team and excellent support staff. We
are looking for a lead doctor/medical director to help us continue
to grow our practice and serve our clients.Our mission is to
increase the bond between pets and their owners, to advocate for
pet health and wellbeing through client education, and to strive
for quality care. To do that, we have a beautiful, updated practice
that includes high-quality equipment, such as ultrasound,
endoscopy, laser therapy and laparoscopy. We also offer a
multimodal approach to help our patients with pain management.We

providing a consistent, ethical, and methodical approach to our
practice.We are looking for someone who is able to work a 3/4 day
work week and who is available to rotate Saturdays. If you are a

Skills:** Patient examinations, auscultation of heart and lung
sounds, determine normal/abnormal TPRs and QATS.* Professional
client communication and education obtaining medical histories and
symptoms.* Laboratory procedures including but not limited to:
hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry,
and fecals.* Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols
of fellow staff members.* Surgical assisting; preparing and
maintaining the surgical environment in order to ensure an asepsis
environment for both patient and personal safety.* Anesthesia
monitoring and endotracheal intubation.* Nursing skills including:
restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM,
applying and maintaining bandages, providing high quality physical
and psychological needs of the patient during any hospitalization
stay or visit.* Proficient in dental prophylaxis.* Pharmacy and
pharmacology knowledge including: preparing and dispensing
medications, calculating dosages, recognizing adverse reactions,
knowledge of regulations regarding the safe handling of
biohazardous materials.*Position Requirements:** Veterinary
Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT).* 4
-10 hour shifts and rotating Saturday's* Must possess strong
communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful
