restaurant specials and more What you'll be working on:
Produce Electrical design deliverables for a variety of
product/project applications, including but limited to: one-line
diagrams, control schematics, submittal packages, bill of
materials, etc.
- Review bid packages and vendor submittals for technical
soundness.
- Perform electrical analysis for load flow, short circuit
current, and component sizing.
- Develop PLC programs, HMI user interfaces, and networking
solutions for control applications.
- Uphold RK Mission Critical documentation and design &
development standards and practices as well as product/customer
specifications.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas
for improvement.
- Propose and execute continuous improvement projects to increase
workflow efficiency.
- Ensure all flow-down requirements from the project are met by
vendors/sub-contracts.
- Interface with Customer to support RKMC product
line(s)/projects with technical support and root cause
analyses.
- Communicate ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) to Production to
ensure compliance and communication.
- Peer-review Electrical design work for manufacturability,
legibility, and formatting per applicable UL and NEC
Standards.
- Participate in RKMC Electrical (and other technical) training
and development program to raise overall company/department
acumen.
- Interface with Production team to review design for
manufacturability and continuous improvement opportunities. What is
expected of an Electrical Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related
Engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a
manufacturing or project atmosphere.
- Proficiency in creating one-line diagrams, schematics, and
panel layouts using drafting software.
- Strong knowledge base of the National Electric Code and its
application to RKMC scope.
- Experience with low voltage (600V and under) power distribution
analysis, including but not limited to: voltage drop, short
circuit, cable/device sizing, and cable routing.
- Familiarity with PLC Programming, electrical controls, and
communication protocols (Modbus, EthernetIP, etc.), as well as the
analog and digital input and output devices and controls.
- Familiarity with breaker/fuse trip curves and coordination of
protective devices, use of relays and contacts for control design
without a PLC, and electrical motor fundamentals.
- Strong computer literacy, especially with regards to
spreadsheets (data analytics, process automation, etc.)
- Self-sufficient with managing and prioritizing multiple-project
workloads concurrently
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical thinking
skills
- Assist front-end Engineering/Design efforts to develop products
at the pre-award stage
- Participate in continuous improvement events such as Kaizens,
Process Mapping, etc.
- Serve as key participant of regulatory audits (ISO 9001, OSHA,
CDOH, etc.) How you make Safety your top priority:

including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation,
shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens,
Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10 Minimum Physical
Requirements:
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous
areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other
adverse locations.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and
tools.
- Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs. occasionally.
