The East Daley Team is comprised of highly motivated professionals and is seeking to add new team members, including the role of aSenior Energy Analyst. The salary range is $60k to $100k depending on experience.This challenge is working in an entrepreneurial data and analytics company that is fast-paced and requires flexible thinking and adaptation based on client and market needs. The opportunity is to help a small business change the way the energy market participants assess risk.This is a full-time position, based in Greenwood Village, Colorado.   • To discover, expose and communicate analysis that leverages data to drive market transparency in energy markets.
  • Utilize existing or develop new methods of effectively communicating analysis to some of the largest, most sophisticated energy investors and operators.
  • Expand East Daleys data, insights, and analysis
  • Develop fundamentalsupply & demand models, insights, and research for both cross-functional team use, and external client needs on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis
  • Highlight financial risk and opportunity within the energy sector through ground-up asset-level analysis
  • Identify and take ownership of new and existing data sets, working with the Data Engineering Team to make into consumable reports and ensure quality assurance of raw data and models
  • Take ownership of your responsibility to make your own work efforts and the efforts of the entire company more efficient through process improvement, training, and documentationSuccess Metrics of Position Goals:
    • Demonstrate an advanced level understanding of data sources and how they are used and integrated into supply & demand and company financial models
    • Be comfortable with varying levels of uncertainty in datasets and models (go beyond plug n chug)
    • Understand both macro and micro trends in energy markets (e.g., forecasting basin-level vs. operator-level production)
    • Client responses are timely, accurate, and provide expert insights to questions
    • Articulate, strategic, and professional written and oral presentations to clients
    • Delivery of market insights and learnings, proactively communicated to the team on a frequent basisJob Skills:
      • Interest in energy (oil and gas) and financial markets
      • Strong communication, both written and verbal, skills
      • Advanced Excel skills
      • Proficient in PowerPoint
      • Demonstration of a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize competing objectives
      • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
      • Significant knowledge of the midstream supply chain
      • Proficient in creating and refining modelEducation and Experience:
        • Bachelors Degree preferred in fields of Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
        • Minimum of 5 years experience in understanding supply and demand, modeling production, energy market research, or related field
        • Experience in building models, forecasts, and working with raw datasetsRequirements of Position:
