This position will provide support for approximately 400 users including faculty, staff and students within assigned departments/divisions. The Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for:+ Installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers and local area network (LAN).+ Troubleshooting networks, systems and applications in order to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.+ Interacting with users to determine problems, analyze situations, identify the source of the problems, determine appropriate solutions and take proper actions required to solve the problems.+ Performing a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and training tasks to ensure optimal computer performance and user experience.This description is a summary only and is describing the general level of work being performed, it is not intended to be all-inclusive. We reserve the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at the discretion of the supervisor and/or hiring authority.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:**+ A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.+ Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.**Preferred Qualifications:**+ Experience providing desktop/network support+ Experience working with a wide range of computer network systems including Windows servers and networking applications.+ Experience providing technical training and support to users.**Competencies:**+ Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.+ Outstanding customer service skills.+ Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.+ Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.+ Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.**Salary and Benefits:**Salary range is $49,709-$63,203Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
