In addition, we invest in our employees by offering:Competitive compensation package: Salary range $130,000 - $150,000Outstanding work life balanceHealth, vision, and dental benefits401K plan matchLife insurance (100% company paid)PTO and paid holidaysWe invest substantial energy and resources in building a highly-engaged culture where your voice is heard, you are connected to a community of professionals who share your values, and you can thrive.Responsibilities:We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) experienced in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with vascular disease, including dialysis fistula access and revascularization, pelvic congestion syndrome, LE venous insufficiency, deep venous outflow obstruction, or stenosis and peripheral arterial disease. This position is office-based and primarily focused on consultations, ongoing evaluations, follow-up care, and in-office procedures. In addition, the Advanced Practice Provider may be involved with direct patient monitoring during and after office-based procedures requiring conscious sedation. The Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with the physician and perform consultations and procedures within his/her scope of practice once trained and qualified.Obtain complete medical and surgical histories and perform physical examinations focusing on pelvic and lower extremity vascular conditionsEducate patients and/or families about venous insufficiency, vascular ulcers, wound care, deep venous obstructive conditions, pelvic congestion syndrome, and peripheral arterial diseaseDevelop a patient-specific treatment planOrder and interpret diagnostic testsDiscuss patient with internal wound and vascular specialists as needed or refer to external specialists if services cannot be provided to patients in the clinicProcedures may include ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy, puncture aspiration, and/or limited ultrasound studies.Collaborate with supervising physician regarding complex patients, abnormal findings, or side effects to treatmentPerform independent evaluations and treatment in emergency situationsRespond to patient telephone calls regarding medical conditions and emergenciesDocument using an electronic medical recordPrescribe and administer medications in accordance with state laws and scope of practiceWork with a physician under a collaborative agreement, including the scope of practice and level of supervision requiredParticipate in continuing education to sustain skill set and for professional growth and developmentAs a clinical partner to the physician, develop and maintain relationships with other local practices, advanced practice providers, and physiciansParticipate in peer review activitiesAssists and/or participates in the training of clinical staffPromote continuous improvement and deliver safe and effective care according to UVVC clinical guidelines and best practices.Lead, direct and support a team of Nurses and Medical/Surgical Assistants with varying credentials in a fast-paced outpatient facility while ensuring compliance with UVVC policies and proceduresDemonstrates and promotes a work culture committed to UVVCs Core Values: understanding, nurturing, ingenuity, trust, excellence, and diversity, equity and inclusion.Demonstrates behaviors that are consistent with UVVCs Standards of Conduct as outlined in our Employee Handbook.Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations.
