Job Overview
The Transport Communication Specialist (TCS) is an integral part of
the Children'sOne Flight Team that assures the safe and efficient
coordination of ground ambulances, helicopter and fixed wing
transportation solutions for our patients and families upon
request. The TCS is responsible for assignment of the most
appropriate ground or air resource to meet the patient and
customer's needs while assuring the safe completion of the mission
through superior communication and customer service skills. The
team members will utilize Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems,
telecommunications equipment, mapping software, weather and traffic
information, remote video monitoring of helipads and flight
tracking software to assure the safety of air medical crews,
patients and families in addition to keeping customers up to date
on accurate ETA's and the necessary logistical support for the
mission

Shift: 12.5 hr shifts - 05:45a-18:15/17:45-06:15 with weekend and
holiday commitment. In person role.

FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of
the following essential functions. These examples do not include
all of the functions which the employee may be expected to
perform.1.Responsible for the assignment and coordination of
medical transport by Children'sOne crews, aircraft and ground
vehicles.
2.Receive and handle all customer requests for or about medical
transports in a friendly, timely and professional manner.
3.Responsible for monitoring of multiple helipads within the
Children's Hospital Colorado System and collaborating with multiple
air medical programs across the region to assure safe
operations.
4.Directly handles all declines and cancels of transport requests
with the requesting party by offering alternate solutions for
transportation as appropriate.
5.Maintains data entries in the CAD for all requests, declines,
cancels and out-of-service activities.
6.Determines priority and preferred transport mode for all incoming
transport requests in accordance with established policies and
procedures.
7.Tracks and monitors location and status of all on-duty vehicles,
aircraft and personnel.
8.Communicates directly with program leadership when complicated
issues arise.
9.Communicates directly with the Flight Team to facilitate
transports as needed.
10.Participates and contributes willingly, effectively, and
efficiently as a team member in various councils accomplishing the
stated goals of the organization.
11.Participates in debriefs and quality reviews with crews and
communications team as needed.
12.Responsible for manual flight tracking as needed
13.Follows CAMTS accrediting requirement

Salary InformationAnnual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per
week): $39,890.57 to $59,835.86
Hourly Salary Range: $19.18 to $28.77
