Hybrid IT Project Lead
The Hybrid IT Project Lead acts as the servant-leader for one or more IT Solution Development Teams and ensures that the team functions as a whole and meets its objectives. The IT Solution Development Teams operate in a hybrid environment, with the management and delivery approach for each project being determined by the nature of the project. The Hybrid IT Project Lead may also own projects that involve multiple teams, so the role therefore requires a focus on flexibility.
The Hybrid IT Project Lead works with the team to plan and coordinate all aspects of product delivery at the team level. The Hybrid IT Project Lead works in cooperation with Project Managers, Release Train Engineer, Hybrid Team Leads and fellow Hybrid IT Project Leads to ensure that the team activities are appropriately aligned within the team and across teams within a broader project schedule.
Activity within this role will utilize both agile and non-agile techniques in varying degrees from project to project, with the initial emphasis on planning and plan execution monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate all aspects of product delivery at the team level
Cooperate with Project Managers, Release Train Engineer, Hybrid Team Leads and other Hybrid Project Leads to ensure the team activities are appropriately aligned within the team and across teams within a broader project schedule
Own projects that involved multiple teams
Utilize both agile and non-agile techniques in varying degree from project to project, with initial emphasis on planning and plan execution monitoring
Facilitate the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products
Encourage full participation of team members within their defined roles, responsibilities, and empowerment
Ensure that the iterative development process is properly focused and controlled
Manage risk and issues at the project or team level, escalating to the Project Manager and Release Train Engineer as required
Monitor progress on a day-to-day basis for all team activities
Facilitate communication of team progress with the Project Manager, Release Train Engineer and other Team Leads
Facilitate team events, ensuring they are timeboxed and following proper practices
Basic Qualifications:
Typically, a four year bachelor of science college degree in a technical discipline
Minimum of six years of Progressive Experience in business analysis, requirements elicitation, customer relationship management and/or bridge roles between functional business areas and IT
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiar with agile practices
Familiar with non-agile project practices
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tool
Experience managing and updating project plans
Experience as a project team member in a large, complex project
