Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTIONFabricates and/or repairs precision fixtures,
gages, shop aids, and replacement parts to support production
operations. Demonstrates core operating values through work
activities, actions and behaviors.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs all die repair activities in the tool room and at the
die cast machine.
- Reviews and understands blueprints and specifications for
machined and/or fabricated parts with special focus on stamping die
components.
- Determines the sequence of steps to follow in production of the
product and plan the production process, including where and how to
cut the work piece, the correct tools and materials for the
job.
- Develops specifications from general description and draws
sketch of part or product to be fabricated, as required.
- Operates CNC lathe to turn components.
- Performs precise cutting of tooling, and uses various gages and
micrometers as required.
- Troubleshoots and follows-through with solution to
problems.
- Contributes to and supports the existence of a positive work
environment through personal involvement by communicating,
interacting and behaving in a manner that promotes productive
relationships with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and others
with whom such relationships are important to the success of
company operations.
- Performs other duties as assignedEducation, Certifications and
ExperienceRequired:
- High School/GED
- 3 years related tool room experience
- Solid experience in operating a variety of manual and CNC
controlled machinery to produce precision parts and components to
exact specifications
- SolidWorks/Mastercam 3 years experienceComputer/Software skills
- Basic PC computer skillsPreferred: Degree and/or Certificate in
