Lockheed Martin in Aurora, Colorado needs you to join a fast paced, dynamic program in support of an important mission and customer.
You will test and support mission specific real time satellite (flight and ground) system operations software and procedures.
You will help develop and test, with the system's developers, detailed test plans, materials and procedures to provide evaluation of the system's compliance with the specified requirements.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in and lead projects in support of Flight Operations. You will be required to certify in an on-console position to provide knowledge for your system testing tasks. Once certified you can expect to periodically provide vacation relief to a 24/7 crew force.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
While you are training on the position you will work 24x7 Operations requiring the you to work rotating shifts. This will continue after certification occasionally in support of crew vacations. Your normal schedule will be weekday day shift.
Ability to obtain TS/SCI and have an adjudicated polygraph required to start this position.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's of science Degree in a technical discipline such as Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, related experience or a combination of degree and experience.
--- Understanding of Software delivery baselines and processes
--- Ability to obtain an operational certification and support a 24/7 operational crew as needed
--- This position requires special access and an adjudicated polygraph prior to start in order to support the program. Requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
--- Experience working with on-orbit spacecraft, satellite flight, or ground system operations
--- Proficiency in at least one of the following: TOPL, MATLAB, JAVA, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML, XML, LINUX, Python, JAVA Script, Astrodynamics and orbital mechanics including classical orbital (Keplerian) elements
--- Program experience
--- Operational certification on the system

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
