By location, our emphasis is on the following:
--- Aurora: Builds world class satellite ground systems
--- Sterling: Builds UAV and satellite ground systems
--- Richardson: Builds cloud based systems that produce and
disseminate custom products by utilizing the latest tools and
processing techniques
--- All locations: Counters national security threats through cyber
solutions
As a Senior Software Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a
team of engineers in the accomplishment of System Engineering tasks
in an iterative development environment.
Key responsibilities include:
---Responsible for working within a collaborative, multi-discipline
environment to produce deliverable products as part of an Agile
like team
---Support efforts to define system requirements, define
verification methods and, troubleshoot errors
---Assist other engineers with defining the future architecture
roadmap for integrating, testing and deploying future
capabilities
---Support the planning and coordination with multiple discipline
engineering and maintenance teams to address technical issues
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with an active
TS/SCI
Required Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
---Bachelor degree and at least 6+ years demonstrated engineering
experience with proven track record
---Work independently without appreciable direction to meet
timelines
---Understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle and change
management process
---Experience in systems engineering functions including:
operations concept development, requirements definition,
requirements analysis and management, functional decomposition, use
case development, interface analysis and definition
---Knowledge of, and experience working in, DOORS or similar
requirements management tool
---Knowledge of component level integration and test
---Demonstrated ability to effectively work, and communicate, with
all levels of management and individual contributors on the program
team
---Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
---Excellent written and oral communication skills, including
presentation skills
---Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly
Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Desired Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
---Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (Agile) and
program lifecycle modes
---Experience in developing requirements
---Experience with requirements decomposition
---Experience in mission management
---Experience with automated test tools/ script development
---Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
---Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Education Requirements:
6 years of experience with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM;) or 4 years of experience with a MS in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM); or 14 years
of experience in lieu of degree
