NG Space Systems is looking for a Manager 2, Programs to lead a demonstration effort as part of a growing portfolio within the Integrated National Systems Business Unit in the fast-growing Payloads and Ground Systems Division. The selected candidate will report to the Director of the Mission Exploitation Operating Unit (MEXOU) and serve as a key member of the leadership team. The successful candidate will lead the Deep Sensing and Targeting (DSaT) Demonstration for the US Army in Q2 2023, with anticipated follow-on program. The DSaT effort is one part of MEXOU's portfolio of tactical edge systems (space-air-ground TCPED capabilities contained within a transportable form factor) and as such, this position requires a comprehensive understanding of ground systems capabilities, restricted and DoD customer communities, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise. The selected candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of program management standards, policies and guidelines. The selected individual must be able to interact with and influence executive level management and senior customers and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentations.
Program Managers are responsible for coordination and management of all phases of program execution, from inception through completion. In this position, the selected Program Manger will oversee related IRAD projects in addition to direct contract work, reporting to Director, MEXOU.
Based on the requirements of the projects, the responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Development of Customer and stakeholder relationships and cultivation of Customer intimacy
  • Adherence to all internal processes for Program Management
  • Leading and directing a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) to achieve technical objectives
  • Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Development and adherence to budget baselines
  • Development and delivery of presentations to Customers, leadership and program stakeholders
  • Proposal development / capture planning and strategy
  • Creation, review and finalization of the program Statement of Work
  • Establishment of schedule milestones and spend-planQualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of program management experience
    • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
    • Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance, with SSBI adjudicated within the past 5 years
    • Understanding of technical, cost, schedule impacts on a program
    • Understanding of business development and capture strategiesPreferred Qualifications:
      • BS in Engineering, Operations or related technical fields or BA in Business Management
      • Demonstrated leadership ability
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
      • Excels at operating at a fast pace, diverse environment
      • Open to direction and collaborative work style; commitment to get the job completed
      • Previous Mission or Operational Experience relevant to Intelligence Support and Operations Salary Range: $137,000 USD - $205,600 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
