The Role : Operations Specialist, Ratings Operations

The Ratings Operations Specialist (ROS) plays a critical role enabling effective and efficient operation of S&P Global Ratings processes. ROS work together with internal and external partners to drive end to end process simplification that exceeds customer needs. As a strategic partner to multiple roles across the organization (Commercial, Data, Analytical, Compliance, Technology, etc.), ROS use their business knowledge, operational acumen, and problem-solving skills to provide a high-quality product to the market and continuously improve operational processes.

The Team/The Business

Youll work with a team of global Ratings Operations Specialists; helping to provide operational coverage to analytical workgroups in the Ratings Department. Outside of operational responsibilities, you will have the ability to collaborate daily with the global operations team and other business units as you participate on projects and problem-solving sessions.

The ROS team serves as the bridge between analytical, commercial, data, technology, and compliance teams; developing the skills and finding opportunities to redefine and improve the ratings process.

As a Ratings Operations Specialist (ROS), youll develop a thorough understanding of the S&P Global Ratings business and will play an integral role in the end-to-end ratings process, helping to ensure analytical and operational excellence with a focus on risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities Manage operational tasks that help facilitate the end-to-end ratings process

Develop a thorough understanding of S&P Global Ratings policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements to ensure operational and analytical compliance

Monitor and support ongoing regulatory, data quality, and control initiatives

Assist in identifying, creating, and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency and strengthen our controls around policy and regulatory requirements

Basic Qualifications 1-2 years of professional experience

Bachelors degree required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

--- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a particular focus on customer service

--- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, global environment

--- Well-organized with great attention to detail

--- Ability to multitask and stay poised in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while also ensuring the highest quality output

--- Flexible, self-starter who is willing to take the initiative and drive tasks to completion

--- Must possess strong prioritization and influencing skills, experience in leading projects highly valued

--- Demonstrates a very high level of autonomy and a fast learner

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $41,100 to $85,300 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
