Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Systems for their Aurora, CO location. The individuals applying for this position need to be highly motivated with extensive experience in the areas of systems engineering, test and integration, with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and support program development efforts. The applicants will be required to support operations support functions in addition to as necessary to include field support and hands-on training.The primary responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation of locally developed software ensuring customer requirements are met
  • Perform total system analysis to include concept, design, test, integration, installation, and operation
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions
  • Collaborate with experts on test procedures; create and perform comprehensive test procedures that meet stringent customer requirements
  • Perform software installation and checkout in support of development and testing efforts assist with baseline deliveries
  • Provide technical support and training to customer personnel
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
  • Support build and acceptance test efforts from development to final distribution
  • Verifying requirement capabilities within an aggressive program scheduleBasic Qualifications:
    • B.S. within a STEM discipline with a minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience; 7+ years with a Masters; 4+ years with a PhD.
    • Current active Top Secret/SCI clearance Working knowledge of GALE
    • Demonstrated ability with virtualization products in Windows and Linux environments
    • Technical presentation skillsPreferred Qualifications:
      • Ability to coordinate across program disciplines/teams and with users and suppliers
      • Ability to decompose/deconstruct large, complex problems in components and envision their interactions
      • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with little direction and oversight
      • Work multiple tasks simultaneously
      • Strong communication and presentation skills
      • Good familiarity with ORACLE and UNIX/LINUX operating systems

        Salary Range: 119784 - 179676

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
