As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator you will be part of an amazing interdisciplinary team environment. You will work under the general supervision of the unit’s director and you will assume responsibility for the direction and the coordination of all functions in the unit on your designated shifts.  You will work in collaboration with other members of the management team, being responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.

 

 

Here is some of what you can expect from being an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator with us:

• You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to his or her patients and to provide direction and supervisions to other staff caring for patients in his or her patient care department/unit.
• You will deliver care to patients is based on criteria that are specific to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of that individual, depending on age and developmental level and on competence of staff assigned to that department.
• You will review patient care daily, visits patients regularly, making suggestions to improve care and becomes involved in the care of selected patients. 
• You will organize, coordinate, and facilitate patient care on her/his department/unit during all operating hours. 
• You will perform delegated management duties, assigned by the Patient Care Director and Nurse Manager, which are consistent with her/his scope of nursing practice and competence.
• You will demonstrate an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions.

 

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license. 
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.  BSN preferred or progress toward BSN with anticipated graduation within two years required.
• Activity in professional organizations encourage.
• Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of Operating Room
• At least one year previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position.
