RN Traveler - Burn ICU - University of Colorado Hospital,
The UCHealth Burn Center is a 19-bed mixed acuity American Burn
Association verified unit that treats over 500 patients per year.
The Burn Center provides direct patient care to patients with burn
injuries including flash, flame, inhalation, scald, electrical, and
chemical burns but also to patients with other soft tissue injuries
including but not limited to: frostbite, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome,
TENS, Necrotizing Fasciitis, DRESS syndrome, and pemphigus
vulgaris. As a service-based unit, we employ a specialized
multidisciplinary burn team which includes both critical care and
acute care nurses who provide medical, surgical care while
supporting our patients' and mental health and healing. Typical
nurse to patient ratios range from 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU level
patients, 1:3 for progressive care level patients, and 1:4-5 for
floor level of care patients.

- Travel RN for our Burn ICU
- Day/night rotation
- 1-2 years ICU direct care RN experience preferred
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- ASAP start date
- Burn experience preferred but not required. ICU experience
As a UCHealth RN Traveler, you will enjoy living and working in one

UCHealth Traveler you must NOT be a current employee, and you must
reside more than 75 miles away from the facility in which you will

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on
patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient
care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and
spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides
patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,
and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary
personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program if less than
three (3) years' experience.
- 6 months nursing experience (in an acute setting)
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and any relevant
unit specific certification requirement.
- BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association or
the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card
in-hand before start date. BLS and ACLS card must be good
through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards
must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the
American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red
Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all
renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a teaching/academic hospital
- Two years traveling experience
- Two years ICU experience
- CCRN preferred
Due to Point of Care Testing duties associated with this position,
upon hire, a copy of highest level of education (diploma, degree,
or transcripts) would be required to present to the hiring manager.

This position's pay rate is $50.00/hour. + travel stipend/package
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon
