Job Description:

Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has an immediate opening for an ElectricalEngineering / RF/ Engineer. This role will design and support deployment of a heterogeneous mix of Satellite Ground Station Systems used as the interface between satellite command & control; and RF/Ground Terminal (GT) equipment. The qualified candidates will perform duties which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop Hardware engineering designs based on meeting requirements for electrical systems design
  • Prepare Hardware Engineering specifications for subsystems and procurement specifications for subcontractors
  • Represent Hardware engineering in development and evaluation of system architectures, designs, and interfaces that meet system specifications
  • Participate in trade studies and vendor/product selection
  • Develop preliminary drawings for RF and Custom COTS equipment (CAD capability not required).

Clearance: US Citizenship and a current active TS/SCI Security Clearance required.

Required Skills:

  • US Government TS/SCI security clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • RF frequency converter, high power amplifier and other satellite GT system design, integration, and troubleshooting experience
  • Hardware, Computer, or Electrical Engineering system design experience
  • Experience designing an integrated system that includes network, compute, and specialized COTS equipment
  • General knowledge of common information system (compute and network) hardware interfaces
  • Experience verifying hardware requirements as they apply to a subsystem.
  • Experience writing and reviewing manuals, procedures, plans, specifications, engineering drawings and notebooks
  • Experience with developing the Bill of Material (BOM) required to produce a hardware product; initiating the procurement process; and monitoring procurement and logistics progress
  • Able to travel on occasion, domestically, for up to 2 weeks

Desired Skills:

  • Experience using and configuring hardware (e.g. setting up system network time protocol)
  • Experience system troubleshooting in heterogeneous hardware environments
  • Experience with RF hardware testing
  • Experience with Linux-based systems for hardware configuration
  • Experience with requirements management throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Experience participating in hardware design and development activities.

Required Education:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with emphasis in Electrical Engineering and 6 years of related work experience.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $86,500 to $160,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
