Professional Research Assistant - Junior Technologist (PRA

Nature of Work
The candidate will be part of a team doing esoteric and niche
testing in a way that directly impact patient card. The successful
candidate will be interested in learning new assays and be
self-motivated enough to expand skills and perform quality,
detail-oriented work. This position involves patient diagnostic
testing under CAP and CLIAA regulations, as well as work under the
FDA GxPs to support novel drug development.
The laboratory specializes in the development and validation of
novel biomarkers, translating research discoveries into actionable
diagnostic testing. The work will also be used to support
immunotoxicology and efficacy testing for new drug development. The
candidate will need to comfortable working in a regulated
environment in compliance with CLIAA/CAP as well as the FDA GxPs.
While experience with these regulations is not required, an
attention to details and willingness to work is a regulated and
structure environment is necessary.
This position will report to the laboratory director and with
the lead technologist manage personal work assignments and perform
first review of work for quality and compliance with

full accountability for the quality and integrity of their own
Examples of Work Performed
This PRA position will perform the following duties:
- This scientist will perform testing to help diagnosis patients
and contribute to making sure drugs are safe and effective.
- Complete assigned assays in a self-directed manner
- Possess an attention to details and consistency in laboratory
- Be invested in your work and aware that you impact
- Participate with lead tech and senior technologist to complete
assay validations on an aggressive timeline
- Prioritize work your own work day in collaboration with our
Lead Tech and Director to meet all necessary timelines
- Work as part of an interdependent team to produce high quality
and timely data
Salary and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at
$37,000 to $45,000
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set
based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to,
internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the
University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of
possible compensation at the time of posting.
