Job DescriptionJob Description:This Senior Field Engineer II will work within Raytheon Intelligence & Space which supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7 Operations.This position provides senior-level technical expertise, analysis, and engineering support to the Weapons and Tactics (W&T) Office. This position requires excellent system engineering, analytical and problem solving skills in a team environment.The selected candidate must be able to:Serve as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate excellent project leadership skills collaborating across customer and contractor boundariesPerform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractorsKeep customer and contractor leadership appraised of activities, deliverables, problems and opportunitiesProvide Defensive Space Control (DSC) support to Enterprise projects as well as to other programs as directed by the customerMaintain situational awareness on evolving threats and new developments including participation at key conferences and forumsKeyResponsibilities:Develop, coordinate, train, evaluate, and analyze Courses of Action (COAs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Response Options (ROs) and CONOPS documentsCoordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Planning functional areas to provide vehicle and system vulnerability/capability assessments based on available threat intelligence dataIdentify shortfalls in indications and warnings, and foundational intelligenceIncorporate space protection processes into station procedures, processes, training, requirements, CONOPs, directives and/or operating instructionsDevelop and deliver tailored space protection related presentations for Engineering, Operations, and Planning customers and contractors, as well as external senior leadershipUse available data and visualization tools to analyze and assess threat events and optionsMaintain awareness as threats evolve; as new systems become operational and as future systems are plannedDevelop mission plans for various threat scenariosSupport Space Control related tests, exercise, and trainingRequired Skills:An active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly U.S. security clearanceExperience and knowledge of engineering environmentSuperb engineering skillsExperience and ability to communicate directly with customers and Prime while maintaining composure and professionalism on complex issues, supporting manager and team perspective on a variety of issuesExperience and ability to translate thoughts and ideas into effective communication in a variety of formatsExperience and ability to perform detailed work with speed and accuracyAbility to carry a pager and respond on a 24/7 basis as necessaryStrong written and verbal communications skillsDesired Skills:Prior Defensive Space Control experienceRequired Education (including Major):Bachelors' degree in related field and 6 years' of related experience or a minimum 14 years' of related experience in lieu of degreeIn compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $76,100.00 to $140,800.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.Benefitsoffered: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.#SPACE2021Business Unit ProfileRaytheon Intelligence & Space delivers the disruptive technologies our customers need to succeed in any domain, against any challenge.
