Nature of Work:

This full-time position will work with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology administration of our residency program and a variety of weekly continuing education courses and meetings. This position will work approximately 50% with our Residency Program Specialist coordinating the department residency program, and 50% on the coordination of Continuing Medical Education programs within the department. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology specializes in women's health. The Department has a strong basic science research core and in the clinical setting, faculty members practice and teach in the following subspecialties,

* General Obstetrics and Gynecology * Maternal-Fetal Medicine * Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility * Gynecology Oncology * UroGynecology (MIGS) * Family Planning

Residency Program:

Our Residency Program currently has 37 residents. This position will work in collaboration with the Program Coordinator and under the direction of the Program Director, this position assists with the coordination of all aspects of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training program. Residents in this program rotate at UCHealth, Denver Health and Rose Medical Center.

Examples of Work Performed:

This position works in collaboration with the Residency Program Specialist, providing support to faculty program director and the Department Chair to implement the goals and objectives of the residency program.

* Assists the Residency Program with the coordination, planning, management, and logistical arrangements for residency activities. * Assists with annual updates for faculty and resident scholarly activity in the ACGME annual report. * Assists with the coordination related to residency recruitment interviews * Assists the Residency Program Coordinator with sensitive or confidential information regarding residents. * Helps disseminate and interpret the GME, RRC and CREOG policies to residents. * Performs monthly monitoring of resident case log entry and weekly duty hours compliance monitoring. * Organizes resident semi-annual evaluations and semi-annual oral exams. * Assists with annually on-boarding 10 new interns and the organization of intern orientation week. * Assists in Resident and Fellows Graduation Banquet. * Assists in the maintenance of the residency MedHub software program, including: resident demographics, test scores, duty hours, vacation schedules and sick leave. * Maintains the department academic year calendar for all educational activities related to the residency. * Complete residency verifications as needed.

Continuing Medical Program (CME):

Position includes our regular Grand Rounds, Ob-Gyn Resident Morbidity and Mortality and Resident Lectures series, working with faculty leadership to establish the schedules and work processes that contribute to the ongoing development, analysis, and evaluations of educational programs within the Department. Provides backup support for all CME events both on and off campus, as needed by the department events coordinator.

Examples of Work Performed:

* Support for regular educational activities, assisting with all aspects of the facilitation of the event. This includes the scheduling and coordination for national, regional, and local CME speakers, sponsors and guests as needed by the event. * Creates agendas and leads CME Series meetings to keep track of series progress and assesses future needs. * Coordinates and organizes presentation materials for Ob-Gyn Resident Morbidity and Mortality and Resident Lectures series. * Develop systems to promote series conferences to attract various interdisciplinary areas including speakers and sponsors. * Tracks and reports attendance/CME credits for events, maintaining the CME credit database and online reporting system. Maintains CME accreditation documentation including quarterly and bi-annual accreditation application. * Coordinates procurement for travel and events relevant to the various speakers. * Tracks educational series budgets. * This position works to facilitate processes and systems to ensure the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology maintains a national reputation for excellence in CME activities

This position works to support the education core assisting in establishing and implementing guidelines and policies for integrating the educational programs into the clinical operations, cross-training in the various aspects of the programs to ensure a smooth education experience for our students and faculty mentors. Position coordinates and implements faculty and staff development opportunities, and summer workshops.

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Knowledge of current ACGME, GME, RRC, and CREOG policies to ensure all residency activities meet accreditation standards. * Familiarity with the competency areas for GME professionals outlined by the GME office * Understanding of and competence in the use of the New Innovations program to build and maintain the evaluation and rotation database and schedules. * Effective problem-solving skills including ability to analyze and evaluate data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations. * Demonstrated motivation and capability of performing in a complex and fast-paced environment. * Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, strong work ethic, positive problem-solving attitude, results oriented and able to work through projects independently. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism and competence in dealing with a variety of individuals including physicians , program directors , university and hospital administrators , and industry representatives. * Proficient knowledge and work experience in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software programs. * Strong and demonstrable organizational and time management skills, ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage interrelated and /or complex issues or transactions. * Energetic, productive, and quality oriented worker capable of independent decision making and complex problem solving. * Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in educational, financial and management processes. * Proficiency in creating, organizing, and maintaining files consistent with ACGME and RRC standards of documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communications, public relations, business administration, healthcare administration, or other related field. * Two years of professional level experience working in higher education.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis, but not for the specific experience.

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with University of Colorado procurement systems (i.e. Concur, Marketplace, etc.). * Experience booking travel arrangements (airfare, hotel, rental cars, etc.). * Meeting and event planning experience.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $43,064 to $50,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
