You may also provide technical advice and assistance on test tools, test planning, and test design. You will provide recommendations regarding technical approaches, deployments, tool uses, and integrations.You'll be joining a team who enjoys pushing the envelope. You're not a rookie and you know how to assess a situation and recommend solutions. Because you're a professional, you know what needs to be done and you know how to work with stakeholders to make it happen. You understand how to design a testing solution based on good testing practices and you use automation to enhance that solution. You're able to research root causes around issues and identify, recommend and execute solutions. You pride yourself on domain knowledge and, let's be honest, you kind of like correcting developers understanding of the system. Not in a mean way, but yeah, it kind of feels good.REQUIREMENTSREQUIREMENTSMust HavesYou bring certain skills to the table. You are familiar with or have contributed to automation strategies and you write test cases based on your deep testing knowledge. The status quo is hard for you and you are an advocate of contemporary quality practices. You have the ability to adapt and learn from coworkers and share information and experiences in a variety of communication modes. You can provide informal knowledge transition and/or hands-on training with other team members. You both contribute to and consume from the Software Testing community in the form of writing or speaking and stay up on current trends and technologies in order to enhance your career and professional development.No job description is finished without a bullet list of stuff. Here are some skills you may bring to the table. You'll be working on a well-seasoned Universe platform. You can expect the standard bit of hashing through requirements with the business, new feature development, bug fixes, testing, and documenting system functionality (with words or diagrams). At your core, you're a multi-value database programmer. You have experience with Pick Basic (or willing to learn), Universe in a Linux/AIX environment, you're good with UNIX commands You have expertise and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and can consult on coding to support automation. You have experience in Web Services (SOAP, REST) and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, WebDriver APISoapUI, Cucumber) and mobile and performance testing strategies. You have strong working knowledge and implementation practice of software development life-cycle and testing tools. You like to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field, including brining new ideas to the team. Nice to Have You've worked within a highly regulated financial services environment with a larger company. You understand what it means to care for this data, and you know how to test with that in mind. You've done the Agile thing, and you are familiar with Kanban and Lean practicesSalary range for the position: $80,000 - $95,000/Yr.
