Manages, selects and prepares equipment for inpatient operating
room surgical procedures.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Location/Dept: OR Operating Room AIP
This position's pay range starts at: $14.900000/hour.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon
organizational and individual performance.
Follows surgical schedule, completes conflict checks, provides
tracking and preparation of equipment, and maintains record of
inventory and repairs. Reports equipment issues to charge nurse and
Resolves issues involving OR equipment. Locates and provides
additional equipment as needed. Tracks gaps in equipment
availability and works with management to determine needs.
Organizes the equipment and positioning room, stores unused
equipment, and cleans equipment after use. Assists in cleaning
operating rooms as needed.
Educates staff on equipment locations and identification.
Withinscope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive
judgement and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in afast-paced environment and take appropriate
Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Preferred:
Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology.
Required Licensure/Certification: None Required. Preferred:
Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
Minimum Experience: 1 year in an operating room setting.
- BLSthrough the American Heart Association or the American Red
Cross CPR for theProfessional Rescuer with card in-hand before
start date. BLS or CPRcard must be good through sixty days of hire.
All life supportcertification cards must be issued by either the
American Heart Association orthe American Red Cross CPR for the
Professional Rescuer. (American Red Crossfor the Professional
Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will needto be
through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
