Job Description Job Description Description: POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Information Technology leads a company's IT
strategy, operations, and infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with
business goals and supports innovation, while also managing IT
budgets, staff, and vendors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develops mission,
plans, goals, policies and budget for the IT department. Leads
development and implementation processes for the organizations IT
systems and department. Develops and implements business continuity
protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the
event of emergency situations or data loss. Establishes efficiency
and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement
of IT infrastructure. Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems
performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade
requirements, and other metrics and needs. Oversees security of
systems, networks, and enterprise information. Facilitates IT
security audits or investigations. Develops and maintains
relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning
(ERP). Ensures the selection, training, development and evaluation
of department employees. Determines staffing, space, equipment, and
supply requirements. Works with management team and physicians to
identify near-term to long range information systems needed and
establishes priorities for system acquisition, upgrades and
modifications in line with organizational goals. Works with the
management team and physicians when developing technology related
procedural requirements for each department. Serves as technical
resource including solving computer issues and making
recommendations to enhance information systems and promote more
efficient, cost-effective operations. Oversees systems analyses and
computer projects through all phases from problem definition
through system implementation and support. Ensures that hardware
and software function efficiently on a daily basis and remains in
safe functioning condition with appropriate backup systems in
place. Designs disaster recovery solutions appropriate for
organizations requirements. Stays abreast of leading-edge
information technology. Works with stakeholders to purchase
technology related equipment and supplies to assure value, ability,
order time, capability and capacity in accordance with budget,
growth, and new application needs. Negotiates most favorable prices
and terms with vendors and reliable uptime and system response
time. Works with the management team to plan and support healthcare
related privacy initiatives. Performs other related duties as
assigned. Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS &
ATTRIBUTES: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
required. At least five years of experience managing an IT
department. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work with a
high degree of accuracy despite interruptions Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. Proficient in the latest technology
for IT systems and management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention
to detail. Excellent analytical and management skills. Excellent
interpersonal skills. Through understanding of IT and practical
applications to support the company's goals. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
AND SKILLS: Master’s degree or MBA WORKING CONDITIONS: Constant
viewing of computer monitor, mousing and typing Ability to file and
track documents and data, both in written and electronic form
Typical hours of business are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. Travel within the Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs
areas as needed On occasion, some early, late and weekend hours may
be required
