Type:HybridRaytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a
Software Architect/Principal Software Engineer. This position is
hybrid with occasional onsite work in Aurora, CO.Life with Raytheon
Intelligence and SpaceIn this role, you will be a part of fast
paced, highly collaborative, team of talented software engineers
who often work remotely. You will get to help develop a common
ground solution to fly a heterogeneous constellation of satellites,
including SmallSats. You will also get to work with advanced
software technologies and architectures.This position is eligible
for a sign on bonus of up to $15K for a person with a TS/SCI
clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon
Intelligence & Space.Required Skills -
- Domain knowledge in Satellite Ground Control, Command and
Telemetry, Antenna Control, Mission Planning, Ground Equipment
Control
- Experience with Microservices architecture
- Experience with full life cycle of software development -
requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing,
deployment
- Experience with Linux, Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, Docker,
K8s/Helm, Postgres, Fortify
- Experience with DevOps methodology using BitBucket and Bamboo
pipelines, Cucumber and Gherkin automated tests.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology using Jira and
Confluence
- Ability to help developers understand the designs and to mentor
through code reviews and design meetings.
- Ability to prototype and problem solve (hands on keyboard)
- Experience with determining most efficient FOSS/COTS for a
design.
- Great communication skills - capable of working with individual
developers, fellow technical leads, and management.
- Security+ certification required or ability to attain.
- An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented
Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearanceEducation/Experience
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience and a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics) bachelor's degree are typically needed
for this role. A master's degree in a STEM field may be substituted
for 2 years of work experience. Non-degreed professionals with
demonstrated skills and relevant experience are also encouraged to
