Northrop Grumman is looking for a Database Engineer/Architect with
a preferred Oracle background to support multiple programs in
Aurora, Colorado. Most of our programs use several COTS database
products, including Oracle Database, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL and we are
engaged in looking at newer technologies to perform; Cloud
database, DevOps/site reliability, and data engineering. The
candidate should be familiar with these products by supporting each
through the entire lifecycle from design/development through
delivery and operational support. The position requires an
individual to work on a small, highly skilled team which supports
mission systems by providing technical engineering/database support
and establishing innovative, time sensitive solutions. The
preferred candidate may be required to work under minimal
supervision, have the ability to multi-task and adapt to change,
and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Additionally, the candidate must be motivated and a self-starter
with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, independently
determine the approach to fixing problems and push to closure on
scheduled milestones. Candidate will be expected to learn and stay
engaged with state-of-the-art database technologies within the
industry and may be requested to support the design, implement, and
maintenance of these technologies within a new or established
development environment. In addition to database technologies,
script writing utilizing PL/SQL, Python, PERL, and/or Anisble is
desirable.
Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual
relationship of data and database changes for complex applications.
Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems,
and develops technical, structural, and organizational
specifications. May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor
and enhance capacity and performance.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Database Architect:
Salary Range 2: $88,000 USD - $132,000 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
