Job Description:

As the Director of Human Resources, you will lead and manage the people strategy as a key member of the business unit and human resources leadership teams. At this medical device corporation, HR is the "keeper of the culture," offering an independent perspective and playing a pivotal role in organizational communication. In this role, you are more than a consultant - you share the accountability for talent, goals and results for the business unit and the company.

Partnering with Talent Acquisition to ensure a robust, diverse, talent pipeline
Succession planning for key leadership roles
Developing emerging leaders and talent in the organization
Driving the key principles of Engagement
Partnering with HR Shared Services to drive engaging benefits, processes and systems for employees and managers
Participate in the recruitment, engagement and development of HR talent across the organization

Responsibilities/Duties:
Acts as a strategic business partner to the business leader. The position will design, build and execute strategic talent objectives that drive exceptional business performance.
Embed a performance management culture within the business area as a means of driving business improvement by ensuring clear objectives, feedback and the improvement of outcomes through behaviors.
Identify and develop key learning programs that will drive best demonstrated practices in performance management processes.
Partners to develop and drive aggressive talent acquisition programs, supports the onboarding process.
Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in people management.
Challenges the organizational structure and proposes changes as appropriate.
Implement comp/commission plans and propose sales incentive, compensation and benefits strategies.
Provide support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives in support of the HR strategy, using expert knowledge of the Advanced Surgical business. Substantively contributes to the development of the wider HR strategy and work closely with Human Resource Leadership to ensure cohesive and coordinated functional, global roadmap.
Business Travel of 25-40% post COVID

Fluency in financial and HR systems as well as an attention to detail and a passion for making the complex simple are key attributes.
Knowledgeable about how the business and organization work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition; is aware of how tactics work in the marketplace.
Understands how to accomplish tasks both through formal channels and the informal network; understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies; practices and procedures; understand the cultures of the organization.

Education Requirements:
BA/BS in related field

Experience Requirements:
5+ years of Human Resource experience. Related experience in Performance Coaching & Talent development and management experience preferred.
