Location: Aurora, COCareer Area: HREmployment Type: Full TimePosition Type: SalaryThe Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties and implementing HR programs. Models the highest level of integrity and ethical communication and behavior. Works closely with senior management in supporting employees across the business. The HR Generalist will ensure compliance. We are looking for a Generalist with 3 years of experience to join the Schomp Family! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Adhere to the Company s Core Values of Competitive, Consistent, Adaptable, Respectful, and Empathetic.* Models the highest level of integrity and ethical communication and behavior. * Works closely with senior management in supporting employees across the business.* Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.* Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.* Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.* Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.* Supports managers with the full employee lifecycle. Recruiting, Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. Performance improvements, coaching, employee relations, and position management. Terminations, final pay, benefit termination, and HRIS record retention. * Implements human resources programs and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.* Manage the day-to-day Human Resource functions in the local office or regional offices and other assigned programs or projects serving the larger organization. * Travel to or commute to, regional offices as needed. Air Travel to corporate offices approximately once annually. Job Required Skills and Knowledge:* Must have working knowledge of state and federal laws along with practical application* Must have experience in administering FMLA, workers compensation management, and unemployment.* Experience in maintaining Employee Files* Strong interpersonal skills including with strong conflict resolution skills* Ability to properly balance employee advocacy and business requirements.* Excellent communication skills are required.* Must be self-motivated with an ability to manage and organize time and activities.* Demonstrate high character and achieve high results.* Possess outstanding work ethic.* The ability to work independently with limited supervision and the motivation to continually increase knowledge should be evident.Education, Experience, and Certification: * 3 years of HR Generalist experience, 3 in Human Resource Management* Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field (preferred)* SHRM-SCP/CP certification (preferred)* Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of MS Office.* Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Google suite* Human Resource Information System (HRIS) experience, including report management and data integrity:Physical Demands:* Regularly communicates both verbally and in writing.* Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand, as well as the ability to understand the speech of another person.* Visual acuity to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
