Job Description:

HealthONE, a cornerstone of HCA Healthcare in Aurora, CO, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Oncology to join our compassionate and skilled healthcare team. In this role, the successful candidate will address the complex needs of oncology patients, providing specialized nursing care in a supportive and patient-focused environment. Our facility prides itself on prioritizing patient care excellence and innovation in treatment. The Oncology RN will play a pivotal role in implementing patient care plans, administering treatments, and elevating the levels of patient trust and comfort throughout their cancer journey. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients. Assess patient conditions through diligent observation and collaboration with the oncology team. Administer chemotherapy, medications, and other specialized treatments safely and effectively, adhering to strict protocols. Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing management of their health conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor and optimize patient care plans. Monitor patient reactions to treatments and medications, adjusting care plans as needed in consultation with oncologists. Maintain up-to-date patient records and report any pertinent changes or symptoms in patient condition. Strong clinical skills in oncology care. Proficient in administering chemotherapy and other related treatments. Excellent communication and empathy skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with compassion. Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress environment. Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of Colorado. Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred but not required.
