Qualification This position supports the mission of The Medical

Details: - The Surgery RN oversees and directs the care of the
surgical patient. - The Surgery RN is responsible for the care of
patient in all-surgical specialties. - Serves as primary nurse
leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated
patient care. - Oversees and directs the care of assistive
personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to
assigned patients. - When the need arises, will perform other
duties as assigned by supervisor. What qualifications you will need
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the
State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active
multistate Registered Nurse license. - Current BLS certification
through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. -
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN
Preferred - Experience: One-year experience in acute care
preferred. Special Qualifications: - Ability to communicate
effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health
care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others
within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical
thinking skills Degree of Supervision Required: - Involves general
guidance and direction by the Patient Care Director and Clinical
Nurse Coordinator. Employee will be expected to perform most job
duties independently and in accordance with established
departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Populations and
Ages of Patients Served: - This position requires knowledge of
growth and developmental needs of patients and families. Personnel
in this position must recognize and respond to the behaviors of
patients and families in each age category. The employee must be
able to demonstrate the special skills required to care for
patients and their families according to standards. (The skills and
knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through
