Job Description:
Join our large and supportive Rehab Team with a large dedicated
subacute Rehab floor, 2 long term care floors, a community in house
outpatient program, and in-house therapy services at our
neighboring sister Assisted Living Facility center. This is a
wonderful opportunity for new graduates as the team boasts a wealth
of experience, mentoring students and each other, as well as having
a varied patient population. 12-week mentorship programs
availablenew grads welcome ~ Part of a network of nearly 200
facilities in 26 states ~ In-house therapy programs with
collaborative work environments and supportive teams ~ Continuing
education and growth opportunities Position Summary The COTA
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides direct rehab
care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral
under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in
accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care
standards. Graduate of an accredited program in occupational
therapy (ASOT) Participates in community health matters/projects as
appropriate Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws,
regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute
care facility Implement and interpret the programs, goals,
objectives, policies, and procedures of the department Perform
proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to:
patient rights, and safety and sanitation Maintains confidentiality
of all proprietary and/or confidential information Understand and
follow company policies including harassment and compliance
procedures Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to
Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct
and other appropriate compliance training Utilize therapy software
appropriately and accurately Exhibit excellent customer service and
a positive attitude towards patients Read, write, speak, and
understand the English language
