Job Description:
Swedish Medical Center, a crucial part of HealthONE's network,
is seeking a dedicated Nurse Extern for our Rehabilitation
Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain
hands-on experience in rehabilitation nursing under the supervision
and mentorship of experienced nursing staff. The Nurse Extern will
be an integral part of our team, helping to deliver exceptional
patient-centered care by supporting the rehab nursing processes and
learning valuable skills. This role is geared towards nursing
students who are actively pursuing their education and want to
enhance their skills in a real-world setting. By joining our
state-of-the-art facilities, you contribute to a culture that is
passionate about providing comprehensive care that enhances patient
outcomes. Assist with the basic care of patients, including
monitoring vital signs and helping with daily activities. Support
registered nurses and healthcare team in the delivery of treatments
and interventions. Observe and report changes in patients'
conditions and rehabilitation progress. Participate in educational
workshops to enhance nursing knowledge and clinical skills.
Maintain patient safety and confidentiality at all times. Handle
and operate medical equipment under supervision. Assist with
documentation of patient care services by charting in patient and
department records. Basic understanding of nursing principles and
patient care. Ability to follow oral and written instructions
effectively. Strong observational and communication skills. Capable
of handling physical demands associated with patient care.
Empathetic and patient-focused approach. Medical Insurance Dental

required.
