Job Description:

HealthONE, a leader in healthcare services based in Aurora, CO and a part of the expansive HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse GI PRN to join our gastroenterology unit. This role is crucial in providing high-quality, compassionate care tailored to the needs of our gastrointestinal patients. The Registered Nurse in this position will work on an as-needed basis, handling critical duties associated with GI procedures and patient care, integrating clinical expertise with a patient-first approach to healthcare. Provide nursing care to patients in the gastroenterology unit, monitoring patient status and responding with appropriate treatments. Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures and assist during these procedures. Administer medications, track vital signs, and maintain detailed patient records. Educate patients and their families about procedures, recovery, and ongoing care requirements. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement personalized care plans. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment. Proficient in gastrointestinal nursing care Strong ability to operate endoscopic equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to respond quickly and effectively in various medical situations Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or a compact state Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Certified Gastroenterology RN (CGRN) certification is a plus
