Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Orthopedics /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Seasonal travel position on Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit (612) /n• Maintain 1:5 nursing ratio with 5 patient assignments /n• Work independently managing 5 patients on surgical unit /n• Experience on surgical unit required /n• Pain management experience preferred /n• Orthopedic experience preferred /n• Use Meditech EMR system /n• Perform dressing changes and aspirations /n• Care for diverse patient population including elective orthopedic patients and orthopedic trauma patients /n• Must demonstrate positive attitude and team player mentality /n• Work on 20-bed unit located on 9 South floor of main hospital building /n• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 4 staff nurses /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a dedicated 20-bed Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit that provides specialized care for both elective orthopedic patients and orthopedic trauma cases.
