Job Description:
UCHealth invites applications for the role of RN ICU Float Pool
on multiple shifts. In this dynamic position, you will have the
opportunity to work across different ICU units within our
Colorado-based, nonprofit health care system. UCHealth is dedicated
to innovative patient care, and our float pool program supports
this mission by ensuring that all ICUs are staffed with highly
skilled and versatile registered nurses. This role requires
flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to providing
exceptional patient-centered care in a high-stakes environment.
Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill
patients across various ICU settings. Assess patient condition,
administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient
data in electronic health records. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to formulate individualized care plans.
Engage in health education and support for patients and their
families. Adjust to varying workflows and staffing needs across
multiple ICUs. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for
patients and staff. Participate in continuous education to enhance
skills and adapt to new technologies or treatments. Strong clinical
skills with ability to manage intensive care and life support
systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Critical
thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using
healthcare software and electronic health records. Skill in
prioritizing urgent patient needs and effective time management.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
Colorado. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. ACLS (Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification preferred.
