Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN for our Operating Room in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) to join our Colorado-based, nonprofit health care system. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch specialized care to surgical patients in an outpatient setting, helping to maintain and enhance patient care standards and improve surgical outcomes. The ideal candidate will exhibit compassionate patient care, adherence to safety protocols, and a collaborative spirit. Operate medical equipment, assist in surgery preparation and recovery of patients Monitor patients’ vital signs and administer necessary medications Maintain strict sterile environment in the operating room Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care Participate in professional development and in-service training Proficiency in using medical equipment Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines Strong teamwork and multi-tasking skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license valid in the state of Colorado BLS certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
