(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available
for an experienced Operating Room nurse with specialization in
Orthopedics/Joint procedures at a leading medical center in the
Denver, CO area. This contract position offers a dynamic clinical
environment with a highly skilled team dedicated to delivering
top-quality surgical care. The Surgical Unit features 14 operating
rooms staffed by approximately 70 full-time professionals. The
typical day shift includes a charge nurse, one registered nurse and
one surgical technologist per OR, supported by patient care
technicians and anesthesia techs, with a dedicated trauma team on
call. Patient ratios are generally one-to-one, providing
comprehensive perioperative care. Meditech is the electronic
medical records system in use. Key Qualifications & Experience:
Orthopedic and joint surgery experience is required. Valid NBSTA
and DORA certifications mandatory. Flexibility to work day/evening
hours as needed, with on-call responsibilities. Self-directed
approach to clinical care. Preferred candidates possess Level I
trauma experience. Comfortable with shifts typically from 1500 to
2300, though 1100 to 2100 shifts will be considered.
Responsibilities: Assist and support surgical teams in procedures
excluding cardiothoracic, neuro, and transplant cases. Maintain
adherence to unit guidelines focused on patient safety and
regulatory compliance. Collaborate effectively as a team player
within a fast-paced environment. Utilize new technologies and
surgical equipment to enhance patient outcomes. Location:Situated
on the third floor of a well-established medical building, this
unit is conveniently located near Denver's vibrant community. The
