Pay: $66 per hour Shift Information: Days Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Registered Nurse - OR – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse - OR Location: Longmont, CO Start Date: 02-23-2026 End Date: 05-25-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, 3 days/week (day-focused); weeknight on-call ~7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (approximately 1 night/week); weekend call approximately 1x/month (Saturday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM coverage when scheduled). Call response time: 30 minutes. Roles & Responsibilities Assist and support surgeons in a variety of cases including spine, neuro, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ophthalmology and ENT Prepare the OR and maintain sterile technique for procedures, including robotic-assisted cases with the DaVinci system Coordinate perioperative patient care from pre-op through post-op, ensuring patient safety and comfort Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to maintain complete patient records and handoffs Respond to call assignments within the required 30-minute window when scheduled Collaborate with CSTs, anesthesia, surgeons and the broader care team to keep cases moving and patients protected Participate in orientation and unit-specific training tailored for travel RNs to ensure competency Qualifications Current and unrestricted RN license (able to practice in Colorado) — must be able to submit license and driver’s license Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with solid OR/perioperative background Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association preferred) Hands-on experience with spine and neuro cases required; DaVinci robotic experience strongly preferred Comfort scrubbing when needed (preferred) and working with CSTs and multi-disciplinary teams Ability to be in-state for orientation week and meet a 30-minute call response time Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred but not required Basic and advanced life support certifications (BLS, ACLS) required Knowledge & Skills Perioperative nursing principles and OR workflow knowledge Robotic-assisted surgery familiarity (DaVinci) and surgical instrumentation awareness Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record documentation Strong sterile technique, case management and patient advocacy skills Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and multitask in a fast-paced OR environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate complex surgical cases Benefits Generous travel assignment perks including housing support and travel reimbursement to help you settle in quickly Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy 401(k) retirement savings options so you can plan for tomorrow Life insurance and disability protection for peace of mind Paid Time Off to recharge after those intense OR cases Licensure assistance & reimbursement to make credentialing smoother Professional development and continuing ed support to grow your perioperative skills A collaborative OR team that values your experience and treats you like family Travel Perks: Explore Longmont, CO Longmont is a fantastic base for outdoor lovers and weekend explorers.
