Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery experience License: CO or Compact RN License Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: - 3 years of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery experience, either as a Circulator or Scrub, preferably both - Epic experience required - Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience required Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in the Operating Room setting. The candidate will float to other Operating Rooms as needed. Orientation hours are not billable and included in the overall contract. The nurse will be expected to cover weekend shifts and may be required to be on-call approximately six shifts over an eight-week schedule. The facility operates with 41 Operating Rooms and is a Level 1 Trauma Center. The unit performs a variety of procedures, including General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics. The role involves circulating and scrubbing various surgical procedures. Travel experience is required for this role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate competency in circulating an emergent procedure. The position has a maximum of ten pre-approved time-off days per contract. Time-off requests cannot be approved during specific high-demand periods. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill roles. Candidates should be prepared to manage a patient load consistent with unit needs. All candidates must meet licensure and certification requirements as specified.
