Must-Have: Teaching hospital experience required Flexible with
patient care ratios and floating as needed Description: This
position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical
Oncology. The nurse will work in a unit primarily caring for
patients with known cancer diagnoses. Patients typically require
surgical interventions to manage disease processes or
complications. Nursing care is provided to achieve specific
post-operative milestones for discharge. Chemotherapy or biotherapy
administration is not performed in this unit. Candidates must have
experience in environments with flexible staffing ratios. The unit
focuses on diagnoses and procedures related to the abdomen or
pelvic area. Support staff is available, including IV teams and
physical therapy. Nurses will receive educational resources to
address knowledge gaps for special procedures. Floating may be
required to sister units based on facility needs.
