seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position caring
for blood cancer patients with BMT or Heme/Onc background required.
Responsibilities - Work in a hospital-based oncology unit
specializing in blood cancers - Cares for patients receiving
chemotherapy, biotherapies, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T
therapies - 36-bed unit, expanding to 51 beds - Patient ratios are
3-4:1 - Uses Epic charting system - 12-hour rotating shifts (day
and night), including weekends as needed - Required to float to
similar units as needed - Provide specialized care to patients
undergoing advanced cancer therapies, including biotherapies and
cellular therapies - Navy scrubs required - Modules and orientation
are completed prior to or at start of assignment - No on-call
responsibilities - Maximum of 10 days of RTO allowed per 13-week
contract, with blackout dates for holidays and specific periods -
No blocked scheduling requests - Local candidates permitted; travel
rate applies to those residing 75 miles or more from facility
Requirements - Active CO or Compact RN license required - AHA BLS
certification required - ONC certification preferred - Minimum of 2
years acute care BMT or Heme/Onc experience required - Experience
with Epic preferred - First-time travelers accepted if required
experience is met - No prior employment with UCHealth or its
