qualified Med/Surg RN in Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80907! Pay
Information $2,354 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Float
Pool Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration:
13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
One year preferred License: State RN license or RN license from a
participating state in the NLC - Required Certifications: -
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required -
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required - NIH Stroke
Scale (NIHSS) Certification - Required Must-Have: - Nursing skills
and knowledge base specific to specialty - Ability to float within
designated areas Description: Assess patients' physical,
psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation,
interview, review of medical records, and clinical data. Evaluate
patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes in
collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrate
competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic
interventions, including but not limited to IV administration,
incision and wound care, medication administration,
catheterization, and specimen collections. Promote, advocate, and
collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each
patient. Provide patient and family education by assessing learning
readiness, needs, and abilities. Teach and evaluate the
effectiveness of education provided. Recognize patients and their
designees as full partners in providing compassionate and
coordinated care based on respect for their preferences, values,
and needs. Deliver relationship-based care to understand what is
most important to individuals and engage them in all aspects of
care. Provide care with respect for cultural differences and the
diversity of human experience. Delegate to non-RN personnel in
accordance with nursing regulations and facility policy. Utilize
time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide
high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Serve as a professional
role model for staff by demonstrating ethical, legal, and
professional nursing processes. Manage resources and patient flow
by matching nursing competencies with patient and unit needs.
Utilize standards of care, facility policies and procedures, and
regulatory guidelines to guide practice. Function effectively
within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open
communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to
achieve quality patient care. Precept and mentor new staff or
nursing students as needed. Seek learning opportunities and
continuing education to maintain skills and competence. Maintain
professional records that demonstrate competency and lifelong
learning. Evaluate personal integrity and nursing practice against
professional standards and guidelines, rules, and regulations. Take
action to achieve goals identified during the evaluation process.
Demonstrate commitment to the organization through ongoing
participation in meetings. Understand the value of measurement and
the importance of continuous quality improvement data. Use quality
measures to improve performance and accountability for patient
