per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
RN Specialty: Float Pool ICU CCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour
night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of one
year preferred License: State RN license or RN license from a
participating state in the NLC required Certifications: - American
Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Certification - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for
specific locations only Must-Have: Nursing skills and knowledge
base specific to specialty. Description: Assumes responsibility and
accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating
with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify
and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the
patient. Promotes optimal health, well-being, and safety of the
patient through the use of the nursing process and in accordance
with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse
Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for
relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Assesses patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual
needs through observation, interview, review of medical records,
and clinical data. Evaluates patient responses and intervenes to
ensure optimal patient outcomes. Develops and implements patient
plan of care and observes outcomes in collaboration with the
interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates competency in a variety of
therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including but not limited
to IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration,
catheterization, and specimen collections. Promotes, advocates, and
collaborates to protect the health, safety, and rights of each
patient. Provides patient/family education through assessment of
patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability. Provides
teaching and evaluates effectiveness of the education provided.
Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing
compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the
patient's preferences, values, and needs. Delivers care with
respect for cultural differences and the diversity of human
experience. Delegates to non-RN personnel in accordance with State
Board of Nursing and hospital policy. Effectively uses time,
personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide high-quality,
cost-effective patient care. Serves as a professional role model
for all staff, demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional
nursing processes. Manages resources and patient flow by matching
nursing competencies with individual patient and unit needs. Uses
standards of care, hospital policies and procedures, and regulatory
guidelines to guide practice. Functions effectively within nursing
and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual
respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient
care. Precepts or mentors new staff or nursing students as needed.
Seeks out learning opportunities and continuing education. Seeks
experiences that reflect current practice in order to maintain
skills and competence in clinical practice. Maintains professional
records that provide evidence of competency and lifelong learning.
Evaluates one's own integrity and nursing practice in relation to
professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes,
rules, and regulations. Takes action to achieve goals identified
during the evaluation process. Demonstrates a commitment to the

unit-based meetings. Verbalizes an understanding of the value of
