Requisition #: 29991 Job Summary: The Procedural Registered Nurse
provides direct patient care in a procedural setting at a
proficient level, in accordance with applicable scope and standards
of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the
organization. Monitors and manages the patient in the procedural
environment before, during and after procedures to maintain a safe
environment, optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Key Responsibilities: Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize
available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient
condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines
to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge,
referral and attend to all age-related physical, spiritual, and
psychosocial needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or
family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age,
culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates
patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and
new hires. Performs circulating functions before procedures,
including preparing the procedural environment, orienting, and
assessing the patient, and reviewing patient's medical record and
surgeon's notes to ensure all prerequisites and preferences are
met. Ensures safety checklists and procedures are implemented and
documented at all times. Performs circulating functions during
procedures, including monitoring and communicating patient
condition, documenting interventions and activities, monitoring the
sterile field and controlling traffic into, out of and around the

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care, or a
related field. Substitution: A combination of education and related
technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the
bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Credentialing Center
(ANCC). 1-2 years of nursing experience in procedural/OR setting.
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado. Applicants must
meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred
Qualifications: Vascular Nurse experience. 3 years
job-related/clinic experience. Bilingual, Spanish-speaking.
Moderate sedation experience. Nursing certification (ANCC) in
specialty area. Kronos/EPIC experience. Conditions of Employment:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by
American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare
provider level CPR certification. Current Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red
Cross. Maintains all required licensure and certifications for
position. Maintains all required continuing education requirements.
Must be able to work in-person. Must be able to travel to alternate
locations as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to
effectively communicate at all levels, including physicians,
leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations
(UCH, Children's Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM). Ability to work
within large, complex healthcare systems. Ability to analyze and
interpret data. Ability to compile complex reports and develop
presentations. Ability to compose letters and memorandums. Ability
to deal calmly and courteously with people. Ability to deal with
stressful situations. Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established
procedures. Ability to function independently and manage own time
and work tasks. Ability to lead work teams. Ability to maintain
accuracy and consistency. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to negotiate, persuade and establish direction. Ability to
organize workflow. Ability to perform basic filing, office
procedures and word processing. Ability to plan, coordinate and
develop multiple projects. Ability to work as an effective team

Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range)
for this position has been established as: $69,511 to $88,419 The
above hiring range represents the University's good faith and
reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the
time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime
