We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
  What you will do in this role:
  • You will provide overall management for patient care in the ICU.
  • You will ensure patient care satisfaction, quality, and safety and promotes optimal patient outcomes.
  • You will assist in completion of performance evaluations, counseling, and coaching of staff.
  • You will participate in hiring staff and in day-to-day operational supervision.
  • You will conduct team meetings, staff development, and education.
  • You will be responsible for developing and evaluating performance initiatives for assigned units.
    
    What qualifications you will need:
    • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
    • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
    • ACLS certification required.
    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of Critical Care, and leadership/ management experience is preferred. This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).The Medical Center of Aurora is a 346 plus bed acute care hospital located in Aurora, Colorado.
