commitment The Blood Disorders Center at the University of Colorado
Hospital is transforming health care for our malignant blood cancer
and benign hematology patients by not only providing exemplary

Blood Disorders Center services patients with Lymphoma, Leukemia,
MDS, and Multiple Myeloma, as well as rare blood disorders such as
Castleman's Disease, Hairy Cell Leukemia and Langerhans. Some of
these patients will proceed to either an Autologous or Allogeneic
Bone Marrow Transplant or CAR-T Cell Therapy. We also see patients
with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms such as Polycythemia Vera,
Myelofibrosis and Essential Thrombocytosis as well as other
non-malignant blood disorders, including anemia, Sickle Cell
Disease, and Thalassemia. This person provides direct patient care,
at an advanced proficient level, in the apheresis department using
the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and
standards of practice with policies, values and mission of
UCHealth. Apheresis RNs (registered nurses) provide supportive
evidence based nursing care for patients during their apheresis
procedures including: cell collections, photopheresis, red blood
cell exchanges and therapeutic phlebotomies. The apheresis RN
partners with the apheresis physician and a multi-disciplinary team
to provide excellent care of patients. This role will need to
effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel. This job
requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the
ability to work well in teams. This is a fast-paced clinic with
patients presenting in all stages of acuity. Requirements: ---
Basic Life Support (BLS) --- Registered Nurse Other information:
--- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited
Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years
experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. --- Required
Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse
(RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant
certification as determined at position level. --- Minimum
Experience: 6 months of nursing experience. --- BLS through the
American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the
Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start
date.\u202F\u202FBLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of
hire.\u202F\u202FAll life support certification cards must be
issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red
Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the
Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will
need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned

for this position is:\u202F$30.00 - $46.50/ hour.\u202F\u202FPay is
dependent on applicant's relevant experience. An annual bonus may
