As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Weekends (Charge RN) you will be part of an amazing interdisciplinary team environment. You will work under the general supervision of the unit s director and you will assume responsibility for the direction and the coordination of all functions in the unit on your designated shifts. You will work in collaboration with other members of the management team, being responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.

Here is some of what you can expect from being a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Weekends (Charge RN) with us:

* The Charge Nurse provides direction, serves as a resource and acts as a role model for staff to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care. The Charge Nurse serves as a liaison and promotes teamwork within the department. The Charge Nurse assists the Director in establishing unit specific goals, determining work procedures and expediting work flow; ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory compliances; following staffing matrix/LUR s, conducting evaluations and chart audits and performing any duties as assigned.

* The Charge Nurse assists the staff in patient care assessment, planning interventions and being involved in problem solving. The Charge Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery. The Charge Nurse is also a RN who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for his/her patients based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient.

* This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.

What qualifications you will need:

Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and any unit specific certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Emergency Nursing Care Course (ENPC); Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC); or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Activity in professional organizations encouraged.

Minimum two years of experience as an RN. Previous experience in charge/supervisory position desirable. Education, experience or certification specific to clinical area recommended.

Continuing demonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment and understanding of staffing matrix/productivity standard. Committed to the goals of the unit, patient safety initiatives and positive patient experience.

Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursing practice. Displays judgment and superior problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
