Job DescriptionNOW HIRING: Site Manager - LightEdison LightEdison is looking for an experienced Solar Site Manager. Required Competencies:

  • "FIRST TIME RIGHT" as a fundamental core value to embrace knowing we are a business and are motivated to keep the company healthy and profitable.
  • 3-5 years overseeing civil, mechanical and electrical sub-contractors.
  • Min requirement of OSHA 10. OSHA 30 highly desirable as well as certified equipment operator for skid steers and lull.
  • Ability to demonstrate how to resolve a number of field tasks with personnel through observing individual methods that may need adjusting to improve overall of site compliance as directed by National Solar Manager
    • Managing site budget, including but not limited to staff, equipment, rentals, subcontractors, taxes, toolResponsibilities Include: Strategic:
      • Collaborating with National Solar Manager to determine yearly site goals and objectives, and ensuring that site goals and objectives are being met
      • Managing site planning and strategy
      • Assessing, managing and minimizing site risks
      • Establishing standards for handling site finances and documentation
      • Presenting site data at Company meetings
      • Developing and coordinating site innovations, overseeing site innovation quantification, and overseeing site orchestration
      • Directing and coordinating site operations
      • Planning, monitoring and appraising site results
      • Creating site system, and continuously improving site system
      • Developing and continuously improving site standard operating procedures
      • Investigating and recommending personal growth opportunities to National Solar Manager
      • Managing daily site operations such as headcount, check-ins and availability during working hours, punctual as well as display of "Leading by Example" and "Coaching Ability" so others are able to strive in this environment.
      • Training all temporary employees and new hired staff in line with Company policies and procedures
      • Organizing business review meetings with clients to improve performance continuously and qualitatively
      • Monitoring all Company activities and ensuring compliance with Company procedures and policies
      • Recruiting, training and inducting employees to achieve and maintain designed staffing patterns
      • Organizing and conducting interviews and perform background investigation and provide on site tests to all prospective employees
      • Coordinating with supervisors and management to plan activities for higher productivity on the production site
      • Developing and maintaining relationships with management and supervisors to resolve employee issues, concerns and grievances as per existing Company policy
      • Conduct a daily meeting with all subs on site to set the goals to accomplish that day and a routine should LE decide to self-perform.
      • Developing ways to retain all employees and sub-contractors through motivation and encouragement
      • Managing employee pool by assessing exemplary skillset or additional training in order to eliminate re-work, evaluate performance and counsel employees to improve performance
      • Maintaining weekly temporary payroll and employee personal files to facilitate effective personnel management.
      • Providing orientation to employees in terms of Company values and culture to affiliate employees as per organizational requirementTactical:
        • Purchases, apparel, bonuses, training, commissioning, etc
        • Observing existing staff and operations, and developing strategies for improved efficiency and profit, as well as cost reduction
        • Detail oriented with timely knowledge of Milestone goals, graphs and or trackers depicting daily production counts for Mechanical and some Electrical
        • Oversee site deliveries, keeping track of product delivered insuring it matches or exceeds BOL, understand sensitive time issues mandated with damaged inventory as it is unloaded and traceable documentation to increase LE's adverse position to risk
        • Ensure all ancillary equipment that LE provides is accounted for, including proper hygiene in porta-pots, dumpsters for trash, for recyclables, and overall site cleanliness.
        • Leadership qualities as to consistent display of proper use of PPE, proper hazardous material storage as well as spill kits, and proper grounding when vehicles are refueled or ensure that all subs are in proper compliance
        • Ensuring timely preparation and submission of financial reports, Daily Log as well as 3 day look ahead, production tallies with ability to keep schedules on track
        • Coordinating with other site staff members in the successful operation of the site, and liaising with different departments to come up with improvement strategies.
        • Initiating and maintaining all site licensing requirements per state and federal regulations
        • Assisting with the coordination of site staff, products and equipment
        • Recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training field representatives, and scheduling training sessions and workshops for new and existing staff members
        • Assessing and evaluating team and individual performance
        • Filling knowledge gaps through additional training and professional development programs
        • Measuring, analyzing and communicating progress toward strategic goals and objectives
        • Developing and implementing various quality control methods
        • Providing guidance and mentoring to other site staff
        • Ensuring all processes are compliant with the relevant labor laws, proper display of Worker's Insurance, emergency info and possible allergies, etc.
