Human Resources Manager- Aurora, CO PurposeK--rcher North America is looking for an experienced, motivated, and self-directed Human Resources Manager to join our fast-growing team, headquartered in Denver. The right candidate, working in collaboration with the Human Resources team, will plan, direct, and implement policies for all areas of the human resources function including compliance, culture, and coaching employees and leadership. A successful candidate for this role can build trust and develop professional relationships with individuals, employee groups, and leaders of the organization.The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the HR function for 3 different locations including our manufacturing facility. This position will establish and innovate initiatives and policies that support company goals and positively engage the workforce.K--rcher is growing quickly, and this is an exciting opportunity to bring expertise and initiative in developing and implementing human resources structure for our stellar team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; and by completing personnel transactions.
  • Collaborate across boundaries and geographies while working with colleagues across the business and the HR team to develop solutions, programs, processes, and policies
  • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action.
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; proposing and evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; and coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; forming conclusions and recommendations; and fulfilling transactions.
  • Manages client expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; and preparing reports.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Provide strategic business partnership, collaboration, and coaching to leaders of the organization
  • Provides leadership to less experienced HR staff, supplying mentoring and professional guidance as appropriate.Other Duties and Responsibilities
    • Ensures adherence to the company's standardized selection processes and compliance with employment statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Confers with hiring managers on position specifications, key responsibilities and duties, qualifications, and skills, and prepares recruiting specifications and position descriptions.
    • Counsel employees and supervisors on various employee relations issues including disciplinary action, performance difficulties, conflicts, terminations, promotions, etc.
    • Plans and coordinates a variety of employee relations activities and events such as quarterly employee meetings, annual picnic, charity events, flu short clinic, vending services and sales of tickets for outside activities.
    • Recommends new or changed policies as necessary to reflect changes and new practices.
    • Coordinates company response to unemployment claims with outside vendor.
    • Coordinates activities with outside legal counsel concerning employment related complaints and litigation.Supervision ReceivedMINIMAL SUPERVISION: Employee participates in establishing organizational objectives and plans work to accomplish objectives. Independence of action is stressed, and review of work occurs through established organization management processes, as work product is utilized by others or based on results achieved. This level of supervision is typical of an expert professional staff member.Supervision ExercisedCarries out supervisory responsibilities over subordinate staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recommending the hiring, rewarding, and disciplining of employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONSEducation
      • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
      • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SPHR certification is preferred.Experience
        • 5 + years of experience as an HR professional within a structured HR function is required.
        • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, service or distribution environment is desired.
        • Experience building relationships at all levels within the organization
        • Ability to develop and execute implementation plansKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
          • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
          • Advanced interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with managers, supervisor, employees, and the general public.
          • Ability to consistently project a professional demeanor and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
          • Ability to utilize sound judgment and work independently while recognizing the importance of working within established procedures and departmental requirements.
          • Ability to independently problem-solve as well as to understand organizational structure to effectively handle and direct inquiries to the appropriate individual or resource.
          • Strong organizational skills supporting the ability to multi-task in simultaneously satisfying multiple demands.
          • Demonstrated leadership skills.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals and professional articles. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and others.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENTMost work is performed in a standard office environment, with some time spent in production and distribution areas.
